Sadly, this is not my puppy. This is Grace, Olive's new cousin in Texas. She's so cute I had to share. We met her on our visit to see my family last week. (More posts to follow on that, I swear!) Of course, I'm insanely jealous. Olive, however, was not impressed.
Old house. New home. And a baby girl!...Actually, new town, new life, and a little girl!

Postcards from Yo Mamma
American Idol is ruining my blog. That is my only excuse for taking so long in between posts. And laziness. Utter laziness. It really is out of control how much time I invest in that show every week. Two hours for the performance show, an hour for the elimination show, at least forty-five minutes rehashing the previous night's show with my co-worker, and then an hour or two reading critics' reviews online and cyberstalking Anoop Desai (only slightly kidding about that last bit).

All this to say, I know it's been too long and I'm working on it. We haven't done much to the house lately, so there's been little to report. We keep talking about painting the front door and tackling the trim, but then we realize, man, would that involve a lot of work. So, instead, we go to brunch, hit the farmer's market, take Olive for a stroll, and laze about on the couch reading books all weekend. But that is all about to change! I'm making a list this weekend and mapping out a plan. We will do something, if only one thing, before the end of April. I'm depending on you to keep me honest, people.
Anyway, the real reason for this post is that I stumbled upon a Web site the other day (via Slate) that is so hilarious and awesome, I had to share. It's called Postcards from Yo Mamma, and believe me, I am very tempted to submit some of my own mother's all-caps e-mails. (No offense, Mom! I love it when you e-mail! Now you just need to learn to text.) Much like FOUND, I lost a good hour or two combing through the archives laughing to the point of crying.
P.S. Jason went to China and all he brought me was this ridiculous hat:
Just kidding. I would have loved that hat. Jason is just the model. His co-worker bought two for his kids.
