Happy Birthday to My Blog!

No need to sound the alarm. I am not trapped somewhere underneath a piece of half-assembled baby furniture. Just inordinately busy for a woman who wants to do nothing more than lie around with her sad, swollen Hobbit feet propped up on pillows.

We've had lots of fun stuff going on lately--though nothing nearly as amusing as the events that prompted me to post my first ever blog entries. As is typical with most birthdays and anniversaries, I've missed the actual event by a few days, but I thought it was important to commemorate the birth of my blog anyway. Despite my slacker ways as of late, I've enjoyed keeping this record of our first year in the house and love hearing from everyone who follows it. So, thank you! Keep the comments (and e-mails for those of you who still haven't figured out how to comment, you know who you are!) coming!

Because no entry is really complete without a photo, and I've been receiving a lot of requests for this, here is a belly shot of me from last month at around 27 weeks:

It isn't the best shot of the bump, but I've included it mainly so that I can bitch and moan about how unfair it is when one's husband is the skinniest he's been since he was 10 years old when one is expanding exponentially.
